SANDPOINT, Idaho — A Bonner County woman accused of battering law officers and people inside the Panida Theater Friday managed to slip her handcuffs and crack a beer en route to the jail.
Staci Anne Spence is charged with three misdemeanor counts of battery and possession of marijuana.
Spence, according to police reports, was attempting to meet the band that was performing at the Panida and was asked to leave. She allegedly kicked a security guard and hit a 66-year-old man in the face before being ejected.
Officers encountered a reportedly belligerent and intoxicated Spence outside the theater and things escalated further. She kicked two officers and bent back the finger of a third while being placed into handcuffs, the report said.
Spence, 42, managed to free her hands after being placed into the back of a police vehicle and open a beer, which apparently went undiscovered during her arrest.
